A Shamanic Sound Journey with Ewanna is a deep, intuitive, practice where Spirit and sound come together to facilitate healing.
The sound works in several ways: through the musical line, which influences the emotional state and mood; through rhythms, which sustain theta brain waves for deep meditation and expanded state of consciousness; through vibrations, based on the frequency of the sound that resonates at molecular levels, helping the body loosen up and eliminate discomfort and pain generated by tension and constriction.
The Shamanic practice adds a spiritual dimension of journeying, similar to Active Imagination, a technique developed by Carl Jung to process unconscious content. The Journey is facilitated by drums, rattles, gongs, didgeridoos, crystal harp, handpan, and the voice. It is often experienced like a vivid dream, somewhere between sleep and daydreaming. Even though the images and stories experienced by the journeyer seem to arise on their own, they form out of one’s subconscious content becoming accessible to the conscious mind. These journeys are opportunities for healing, ways to access deeply buried aspects or parts of oneself, offering an out of ordinary space for exploration, self-discovery, understanding, reconnection, reconciliation and integration of rejected parts of Self, exiles, or shadow aspects. During a Shamanic Journey, transmutation, transformation, and deep healing can happen. After sound-journeying with Ewanna, many participants report a peaceful inner state, higher states of awareness, clarity of mind and meaningful insights that help them move forward on their life path.
